Anticonceptie & Hormonen

Anticonceptie & Hormonen" starts with an explanation of how the hormonal cycle works. After that, various hormonal and non-hormonal methods of contraception are discussed in detail. She will be happy to give you practical tips and tricks to advise women properly about contraception.

Hormonen in Balans

Hormonen in Balans" is a complementary training to "Anticonceptie & Hormonen" and deals in greater depth with various hormonal disturbances. These can occur in certain phases of life, such as the period after childbirth or the menopause. Hormonal imbalances can also cause PMS complaints, depressive feelings, migraines and fatigue. During the course, we will look more closely at these disruptions and make the link with contraception: what is the best advice to give or not to give in these cases? The course will be given by gynaecologist Anne-Mieke Omtzigt.

Target group: midwives who actively counsel in contraception

Sexuality, contraception and more

Learn to recognise signals: what is the real question behind the questions? How open-minded are you? Which factors influence the choice for contraception? In this innovative and interactive training, many different aspects of the contraception consultation are addressed. Think about cultural differences and what someone needs to make a good choice. The training offers useful tools to make things discussible. Practical experiences are central. In addition, there is plenty of room to discuss case histories. For instance: what to do when there are problems with pill use or when contraception fails? Astrid van der Duijs is an obstetrician with a specialisation in sexology. She would like to share with you her mission to make contraception more than just a subject for discussion. Do you dare to ask the question behind the questions?

Portio's in Praktijk

Since you place spirals, you see portions in all shapes, colours, types and sizes. But what exactly do you see? When is action necessary and when is it not? And what to do with STIs? Prevention is better than cure, but you still come across STIs at your contraception consultation or during spiral insertion. How do you recognise an STI and what should you do? Practical experiences are central. In addition, there will be ample opportunity to discuss case histories.

Start-Up Service

Together with you, we will go through all practical matters that are involved in starting with coil insertion. Think of a practical step-by-step plan for internal organisation, necessary materials, tips and tricks concerning reporting and reimbursement. Of course, there is also plenty of room to ask questions.
